  1. Background :

Nepali Radio Network is established with aims to be a responsible and independent network of Nepali radio network. The main aim is to form with due informed Nepalese society caring rights of getting independent and professional information. Still more than 50 % of population is out of independent and credible information reach though more than 650 radios in 75 districts. Half dozen of radio networks are permitted from information and communication ministry. It is said that there are more radios than needed in Nepal though 50 % of population are out of reach. Many research reports find out that many established radios are not independent and credible information sharing.

Though radios are the means of social change, they are not able to mobilize people and make their rights of information protected and radios are depending with other raise a big question mark on future of radios.

This radio network will work for with due informed society protecting the rights of people. It works to make radios more responsible, reliable and well governed in politics, business, economy, social, entertainment, education, science and technology, health, agriculture, job, youth mobilization, environment like national issues that directly linked with society.This radio network works to make cordial relation between people, nation and its hands for prosperous society and nation.

This radio network comes to existence for lobbing for the environment to minimize brain drain and labor drain and make young people involved in politics for future of nation building.

Thus, this radio network from the beginning will work coordinating with effective and efficient district radios and mobilize community to establish small radio where there is no radio.

 

  1. Major Objectives of the Proposal:
  • To establish peoples wish of independency, healthy, responsible, positive information and fulfilling today’s gap on reliable news by making reliable news system

·         To build complete informative society by means of information on current subject matter

·         To make Society  aware about the social maters and make well informed about social transformation, possible development for livelihood and its challenges by means of preserving their culture, art, and language

 

3.1 Objectives of the Nepali Radio Network :

·         To make people aware of pure drinking water, Sanitation and hygiene

·          To make people aware on environment and climate change   by means of their activities, its minimization, agriculture and tourism development and its opportunities and be prepared for strategies of utilization

·         To be involved in sustainable development, its national and international effort and campaign

·         To be active for child development and education, and protection of rights of women, other ethnic people and people of particular class

·         Works to build a complete democratic society by achieving complete information on basic values of responsibility, accountability, transparency, duty and good governance

·         To make/energize people contribute to accomplish each activities of development by demonstrating coordination and partnership among them

·         To establish a sustainable, sound and good relationship between India and Nepal thereby eradicating false information and attempt those are brought time and again between Indo-Nepal relationships

·         To promote member community radio for their development, capacity enhancement and to establish other small radios

  • To work for different geography, language, religion, rituals and cultural unity and national identity for peace and prosperity
  • To make every Nepalese in assess of world information and make qualified national for with due informed Nepali society

  • Independent national radio network is important to deliver ism free information.
  • Need to reach more people of all districts by all information.
  • Focus on diverse issues and voice of one city one radio
  • Almost radio networks are working based on Ism.

5.1 Program details:

Every program will be directed to make due informed society and prosperous Nepal with full of social responsibility, accountability, good governance.

  • Producing and broadcasting news related program caring people’s rights of information.
  • Conducting and producing peoples centered interaction program
  • Producing and broadcasting radio news, bulletin and current affairs, and radio drama, radio feature, radio spot, gingal, PAS to aware people.
  • Program production and broadcasting to make Nations vision more practical and effective making coordination with common people of village and city and government.
  • Longer Peace and development, recognizing and engaging youth for change and reconstruction, human rights, conflict management, social development and constitution implementation and federalism related program production and broadcasting.
  • Producing and broadcasting program relating Politics, development and peace.

 

  1. Strategy :

At least 200 radio stations will be accumulated in this project from beginning

  • Program will be developed accordingly to make double incensement within one year
  • Every program will be judge through measuring mechanism for its efficiency.
  • Program will be produced and broadcasted from the conclusion driven from study and research in participatory way.
  • Independent and professionalism are its belief and guiding principle, reliability and effectiveness increases radios in number and both quality.

 

6.1 Broadcasting partners :

  • Effective and independent regional and national level organization, both private and community will be broadcasting partners who are clear in following issues
  • Interested in producing and broadcasting news , news related programs, debate program and social issues
  • Will be committed for Social change and with due informed people.
  • Community and village level small radio station are also its priority member.
  • Program will be produced and broadcasted taking care of local language, ethnicity, religion, beliefs for Nepal and Nepalese identity.
  • Radios run with aim of Peace, prosperity and democracy.

7.Partnership:

This is a campaign. This organization has the belief that, there lies the need of partnership to implement any campaign for its effectiveness. Thus, this radio believes on implementation of network partnership campaign. Communication campaign is its main objective for transformation, prosperity, and to build a republican society, thus, private sector, civil society, aligned organization, local agencies, I/NGOs, national and international agencies and concerned stakeholders will be its partners in almost all the program (campaign) implemented by this network. We will cooperate to those partners to deliver their services and production to the targeted community and area.  Therefore, our priority lies on producing radio programs as per the requirements of those partners and will always be assessing for advice and suggestion.

Apart from this, we will be expecting for support and cooperation in institutional development of radio, technical and capacity development, and development in effectiveness.

 

8.Sustainability:

·         NRN will establish as a highly professional national radio network.

·         There will be regular cooperation from government, private sector and other stakeholders.

·         NRN will have numbers of thematic programs supported by different sectors.

·         NRN will have own radio and capable human resources.

·         NRN will also develop core fund to run radio in a long way.

9. Effectiveness and achievements:

·         Complete informative society will be build by means of information on current subject matter that is provided to the people.

·         Society will be aware about the social maters.

·         There will be physically and mentally change especially up on the youth who are agent of change and accountable citizens of nation and there after they will be motivated towards piercing for fulfillment of their each need and its mobilization with in the nation.

·         All the people of each region will be well informed about social transformation, possibility development for livelihood and its challenges by means of preserving their culture, art, and language.

·         Will be active for precaution to face/resist natural disaster

·         Will be aware about sanitation, healthy community and behavior, management of pure drinking water, and healthy life style

·         Will be informed on environment and climate change   by means of their activities, its minimization, agriculture and tourism development and its opportunities and be prepared for strategies of utilization.

·         Will be involve and participate on sustainable development, its national and international effort and campaign.

·         Will be active for child development, child Education, protection of rights of women, other ethnic people and people of particular class.

·         Will contribute to build a complete democratic society by achieving complete information on basic values of responsibility, accountability, transparency, duty and good governance

·         People will contribute to accomplish each activities of development by demonstrating coordination and partnership among them.
